Our annual Icelandic fishing expedition was another resounding success. A quartet of us ventured to both southeast and west Iceland in search of sea trout and brown trout. Our Icelandic adventure was a thrill-a-minute, with double-digit sea trout and brown trout falling to both streamers and dry flies. Equipped with a Land Cruiser, we confidently tackled off-road trails to explore less-fished waters. As always, our exceptional guide, Maroš Zatko, made the trip unforgettable.

The Long way home
So there you have it. Iceland showed us her brilliance once again. I can’t think of any other place on the planet with fishing for wild native brown trout that is comparable. It is important to say how much we appreciate our guide and friend Maroš Zatko. He lives and breathes fly fishing and did an amazing job managing four fish crazed Irishmen.
